Pulled the trigger on a 65E6P OLED after getting a great price from Chris at ClevelandAV.

I'm amazed at the ways this set has blown my mind. Perfect blacks, best home 3D I have seen, HDR10 is very nice but if I'm being honest, Dolby Vision through VUDU is even better.

Enjoying some 4K baseball on Directv.

Very nice! I was just looking at 4K TV's yesterday at Best Buy. My projector has died and I've decided I'm much happier being able to watch TV with some light in the room. My budget is a big less than yours so I'm looking at what I can get in the $2K range. Right now the Sony 65" X850D model is on my short list. The 'triluminos" display thing is looking pretty amazing.

If you don't need 3D the 65B6P was in the $2500 range yesterday. I don't think I could go back to anything less than OLED now. Make sure you get a set that is HRD and Dolby Vision capable to future proof.

That set is $5K at Best Buy. The Sony is HDR ready. The only sets I've seen mention of Dolby Vision are some of the Vizios. But I haven't looked for that feature closely.

Best Buy never lowered the price of the B. I know you can get MUCH better prices if you call the "right" vendors.

The LG's are also Dolby Vision ready. I would be VERY happy streaming all my movies through VUDU in Dolby Vision. It's that good.

This was posted on AVS yesterday.

If you have Amazon prime business, these models are on sale for the following price !!!!

    $2500 LG Electronics OLED55C6P

    $2500 OLED55B6P

signup for Amazon prime business is free.

    And 55e6p is $2999

Ah, you said 65 before, which is what I'm looking at. Not 55".

Sony doesn't support Dolby Vision. They're going in a different direction.

LG's (non OLED) push white too much so I decided they were out for me when I purchased.

I'm glad you are enjoying it but I don't trust LG. They are the only legit manufacturer of OLED right now so I didn't feel comfortable going that route.

Be careful with the 850D models. I own one but I had to return a few to get a good one. The light bleed from the corners was too much which indicates panel inconsistency issues. Easiest way to look at is to let the set warm up then put in a widescreen movie with bars.

Ah, ok. Is this something that isn't an issue on the 800 models? I think it's about $500 cheaper.

Not sure but look for it. Sony had issues with light bleed with their 2015 sets too.

Other than the annoyance of it, what are the ramifications of light bleed?

I am so jealous. I want an OLED bad, but other expenses have pushed it back to next year. I think I will do a 55 inch for the beach first
