If you're looking for a short series that's well acted check out Good Omens. It's a Neil Gaiman so you know what you're getting as far as the story line but it's extremely well shot and the acting is superb.

Could not finish the first episode. Too Christian for this heathen.

That's interesting b/c I was reading a review last night and the Christians were complaining the opposite :)

Not surprising to me. Some in that group have a real hard time with self-satire. :smilingimp:

I love it, we've almost completed the season, but I'm also a huge David Tennant fan (Dr. Who, Broadchurch, etc)

Haven't watched it yet, but read the book in high school (when I was going through a bit of a Terry Prachett phase) so it's on my short list.

If you like that watch Shetland and Hinterland.

I had a hard time getting into Shetland, I'm not sure if it was the 'very' thick accents (which I usually have no problem with) or what...but it just didn't grab me the same a Broadchurch, may have to give it another try.

Hinterland I will look for, for sure.

The welsh accept may be even harder for you. I will admit have to occasionally translate for my wife for both Hinterland and Shetland.

I like both Sheen and Tennant, but couldn't get through the first episode...

I watched the first episode last night and I'm not sure I'm going back. That alone should answer my question but most shows take a while to find their legs. There is so much fantastic content streaming that powering through a show that you are meh about isn't really worth it. Any arguments either way?

While almost all my friends loved it and it gets better as it gets going, if it isn't working for you move on.
