Anyone else sign up for this? Goodreads has a reading challenge every year. The goal isn't to read the most books, just to encourage people to read more and commit to reading a number you're comfortable with. So you pick a number that you feel comfortable with, or maybe a few more as a stretch, and see if you meet your goal at the end of the year.

Sign-ups for 2019 will begin soon.

If anyone wants to friend me on GR I'm Daniel and this is my photo: 52354912.jpg

My reading has been very spotty, thanks to smartphones, but will check this out.

Thx Dan. If I do sign on I'll friend you and share my info.

I did it the last three years. In 16 and 17 I made my goal. In 18 I was TERRIBLE. I'm definitely down for signing up again and setting a paltry 12 books goal and trying to hit it again. I'm also down for "friending" some of you guys if you want to share you profile name.

I might try to sign up this year. I only read 7 books (to date, been reading more the last couple of months so might hit 10 this year.)

Maybe I'll make my goal one book a month and see how that goes.

My friend link, good for the next 30 days.

Checking my history, and assuming I kept it up to date which I'm not 100% sure, even 7 is MUCH better than previous years. Wow, having kids really sucks the time out of your life :)

I've read 5 books so far this year. That doesn't feel good.

I looked at my 2018 Kindle orders and I read 40 novels last year and 5 so far this year.

Which is close to my loose estimate of a book a week. It's good to be retired -

I've read 33 so far, but 18 of those are from a series the author is releasing in 80-100 page serials.

    I don't think I've finished a single book yet in 2019. That's pretty terrible.
