I went to Hell a few years ago, wasn't frozen over though. We're getting down into the 30s tonight with lots of wind and some rain.
In central Indiana it's about -15, which is about twenty degrees colder than I've ever experienced. Sent from my C525c using Tapatalk
I get that you guys don't normally get cold and that we're far better prepared for it but it is kinda funny from our perspective :)
Chilly here in OKC I should check my home state of Montana....about the same as here. Omaha where I went to skool....much colder.
It's been damn cold here. Damn cold. Cold enough that I am replacing the heating system in my home and adding two small heat pumps that are rated for -4F.
It was 62 degrees Sunday, but its 11 this morning. Good day to try out my new Patagonia down lined coat. I think i'm going to need a fleece one under it.
I for one grew up in cold(er) climates. Living in Florida makes you a bit of a sissy though. Now, anything under 70 gets a little chilly. Its 42 right now. I was just outside with the dog and put on sweat pants, a sweater etc.
My desktop weather gadget is currently showing 36° here in the middle of the state. That's pretty chilly for these parts. I spent my first 15 years in southwestern Ohio so I have a fair understanding of cold weather. Even so I'm not looking forward to being outdoors today.
It just went up to 1 degree here in Indiana. Schools closed again. Yesterday it was way cold, today looking forward to 3 degrees or so. :tu:
Our school buses aren't running but the schools are open and it's business as usual for the most part. Its currently -25F with a windchill of -44F
This is what we dealt with yesterday here in Minnesota. Note the high of -13. Today is looking much better though. It's already reached up to -9 and we may see temps as high as 1.
Here in southern PA it was 0. Now it's crept up to 5. I briefly considered going skiing today since my school is closed. But changed my mind. I've skied in colder temps, but I don't think my 5 year old would have fun.
