Do they use the home power-line to send signal to the repeaters?
The ones I have seen use a dedicated private channel within the mesh. I don’t know what transport/protocol that would mean. But no it’s not going over power lines or any other wire.
I was wondering how a mesh WiFi manages to keep the same speed at farthest repeater locations at 5GHz. In my house 5GHz signal strength and thus speed is nearly half just 20-25 feet from the router the signal has to travel across three walls and a floor to the receiving location. At 2.4GHz the loss is about 20%.
