Just watched it - really a good movie! Entertaining, Colin Farrell is phenomenal, the setting is beautiful (Bruges is a wonderful time), and the story is quite good.

    Worth a spin!

Yeah, I saw this a month or so ago. Very good. Bruges is neat - was there several years ago.

An absolutely marvelous movie with great performances by Brendan Gleeson, Colin Farrel and Ralph Fiennes.

Me too! Saw it a few weeks ago, and loved the twisty plot.

Finally had a chance to see it. I agree with all the above posts, it was very enjoyable. Colin Farrell was a hoot.

I finally saw this on Saturday...first let me say, Bruges looks like a 'gorgeous' town and I'd love to see it in person...

I think I may be the dissenting player here...while I 'did' enjoy it, I found that the gamut of emotions that I went through didn't make this enjoyable.

At first I was optimistic, but the vagueness at the beginning of why they were in Bruges at the time led me to a 'what the hell is going on' frame of mind. The performance of the players was fantastic, Colin & his cohort were bang on and at times I did 'laugh out loud'. There were many times, too many, that I was bored to tears during this movie...which is unfortunate...I didn't find the storyline 'carried' me through it made me 'labor' to want to be there. I really was left feeling I wanted more from the characters, wanted to know more about them, especially the hotel lady and the girl Colin falls for (who were very good), there were many moments in this film that could have been cut and used to flesh out characters more. The end, I literally, out loud said: "You've got to be effin' kidding me"! The end was just wrong to me...I understand 'why' they did it that way...but there were so many other options and the end left a sour taste in my mouth. The wife didn't finish watching it, and save for the scenery and acting skills, I couldn't wait to get 'out of Bruges'.

Terrific movie. All the leads did a great job, especially Colin.

    The city was filmed beautifully.

I didn't realize I would be laughing as much as I did.

Saw this as a DVD rental over the weekend.

Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes were good, Brendan Gleeson was great. Enjoyed almost all the plot twists, as well.

Jason, the only place I started to feel like you did about In Bruges was the drug scene - that didn't add anything and was a momentum drainer, IMO.

The Bruges scenery was fantastic, and the extras really help "sell" both the town and the motivations/plot points of the main characters, I thought - better than many DVDs.

I am late to the party on this. I finally received it from Netflix on Blu Ray. Picture was good. Sound was decent until the end when the action started to heat up.

I thought the acting was superb though I wonder if they could of cut down on the number of f-bombs they used. It was a C**T and F**K fest for language.

I agree the story kind of stalled at the drug sequence. I didn't feel it added to the story.

I liked the ending a bunch. I think it was not what we expected at all. As mentioned, the scenery was fantastic.

A good one time watch. I don't feel the need to return to In Bruges however I would like to visit Bruges at some point down the road.

If Shane was late to the party, what does that make me? I watched this 4(?) months ago or so and loved it. Colin was def great, and I could watch Gleeson do literally anything.

You seem to be on an old thread kick. And old films.
