Sorry, great question. The drawing will be at the end of each month. So the November give away starts today. I'll tally up all of the entrants and may use another member to "pick a number" for the drawing. Then we'll start again in December!

After some feedback I've streamlined the rules for the drawing. Also, in future months I'll offer a movie that isn't already out so that people have not already purchased the movie in the give away. For November however, I'll keep Star Trek Beyond.

My favorite Star Trek movie is Star Trek IV: The Return Home. As a kid I had 2 passions: space and the ocean. This movie combines both. This along with Spock regaining him memory and his interaction with Kirk probably is the most comical of all the Star Trek movies. For these reasons it has been, and always will be, my favorite.

Star Trek I is a sentimental favourite because it represented the return of one of my favourite series. I've watched Star Trek since it first aired and numerous times on reruns. I can still remember the excitement of so looking forward to it coming back to the screen and being there on opening night; and, alas, being a bit disappointed with it. Despite those fond memories, it's not my favourite. Like Brian, Star Trek IV gets the award as my favourite. While it lacks the drama and action of other Star Trek movies, it was the interaction of the characters and the comedic elements of the movie that did it for me. Others were better (Khan; First Contact), but the whale movie remains my favourite.

I'm obviously not entering but IV is my favorite as well. I'm guessing we'll eventually see some dissent but its interesting to see it cited in the first two entries considering I always thought it was kind of panned, critically.

    Again not entering but...

    the best ST movies are

    Wrath of Kahn
    Voyage Home
undiscovered country. This one is a bit of a sleeper that some fans don't seem to remember
First Contact the only Next Gen movie to make the list.
ST Beyond is the first movie with reboot cast to crack the list.

those are the actual top ST movies and if it isn't on the list sorry.

    Worst Moviess

    Nemisis
    Generations
    ST The One
ST 5 The big daddy of them all directed by Shatnered but hated by all.

Just a couple days left to enter. All you have to do is say which Star Trek movie is your favorite, and why, to enter. I'm going to draw in December 1st.

Voyage home. I liked the underwater scenes. Wrath of Kahn is a very close second.

Last day to enter. Max and I don't count so I've got Brian, Murray, and Rick. I'll be picking a movie that comes out in early January for the December drawing so hopefully people don't already own it.

Entering late, but finally. Star Trek IV. Because it brought back the original series humor. "Double dumb ass on you", Spock nerve pinching the punk on the bus, etc.

As a sidebar, humor was something that Next Gen. sorely lacked. Way to PC.

Thanks Randy. I'm still floored (in a good way) at how popular IV was.

Not surprised at all ST 4 was one of the more popular in the franchise.

Wrath of Kahn is often called the best. Many liked First Contact as well I think ST6 Undiscovered country is a real sleeper that went by under the Radar but was actually quite good.

Felt Beyond was the best of the reboots and felt like Good ST again.

And Brian is the winner. I went to random.org and had it select a random number between 1-4 and Brian is the winner. Brian, PM me your address and I'll ship the Blu-Ray to you today from Amazon. Congrats!

I'll post the December drawing today as well.

I received the blu-ray from Amazon about an hour ago! I have lab finals this week and lecture finals the week after so it'll probably be Christmas break before I get a chance to watch.

    Thanks again, CJ!
