Everyone has their own pet peeve. This thread is here for venting. Note that we cannot promise that your issue will be cured.

My PPDJ (pet peeve du jour): TV commercials that include a doorbell. My dogs cannot tell live from Memorex. They (currently 3 dogs) feel compelled to go into major warning bark mode every time Warby Parker decides to sell glasses, etc.

Most European subway systems have tap card, not NYC. You have to swipe a flimsy card through a narrow slot at a perfect speed to get through the turnstile, GRRRRR!

    “As per...”, whereas “Per...” suffices.

Fine print on TV ads. They are still unreadable on large TVs.
Pages long disclosures and qualifications in legalese to use an App. There should be a law that requires those to be summarized in plain language in no more than 8 or 10 bullet points.

Ministry did a piece called Side Effects that included a mash up of some of those long TV disclaimers. The one they looped in the most was an announcer saying, "Side effects include cramps and anal bleeding." :)

"Woke" people on Social Media. It's as if they learned something new in class today and decided to tell the world something we knew for decades. Rather than knowledge absorption, there's an agenda behind it.

When I greet someone with “Howdy” and the reply is “Fine, how are you?” GTFO my state!

Is "howdy" ok to say if you're not wearing a hat?

Mine is pet pee - I have a flower bed at the end of my driveway and the neighborhood sidewalk is next to it. My neighbors simply don't care if their dog/s pee on the flowers or the plants. The problem is - If one dog dog does it every other dog has to "mark" the spot too. On an average day it is 10-15 dogs. During the hot summer days the end of the driveway smells like stale highway rest room until we get a good rain shower. Several requests in the neighborhood web site to simply keep the dogs moving has mostly fallen on deaf ears though some will if they see me in the garage.

Save some of your own pee in a container and pour it there.

Thorny bushes - I will have give up on the flowers there then.
I have thought of installing motion detecting ultrasound critter repellent but it will scare away other fauna the squirrels, chipmunks and birds which I enjoy watching. I don't mind the dogs at all just that some neighbors are just too damn inconsiderate.

Fight pee with pee! A real pissing contest!?:grinning:
