just came back from seeing this animated film and really loved it. It might be the best Spider-Man movie ever...and maybe one of the best comic book movies period, but that could be the afterglow talking. Big thumbs up from 2 boys and 1 man-child.

Yeah it really was very good.

Now for a secret, Spidy Bells was sung by Chris Pine.

Did you stay for the end credits? There was a really funny post-credits scene (at the very end of the credits).

Easily the best Spider Man to date. Similar to Bumblebee in going back to a simpler format with an 80's vibe.

I don't think I'll make it to the theater for this but it is high on my home video watch list! I've heard nothing but favorable impressions.

    CJ,
In a weird way it is kind of like the Orville of super hero movies. In a way it takes itself serious but at the same time it draws its humor from real people issues.

Maybe not a perfect comparison but that's what I got for you today.

Cool! Are you watching S2 of the Orville?

Of course but I have been distracted with my holo deck porn lately.

Finally got around to watching this. The first time, halfway into the movie, my stream crapped out and the movie started over. I lost my appetite for the movie and just turned it off.

The Second time around, man I had a blast. Pixar-emotional type of feelings during the final-third of the film. Very entertaining, stylized and I was much more engaged with the film this time around.

Jay: Make sure to watch for a hilarious post-credits scene after the end credits...

I watched this over the weekend and loved it. Loved the style, sound, and story.

So the early scenes, where Miles is struggling.... Miles is "in 12 FPS" and the other verse PP is 24 FPS. I noticed it while watching, but didn't conscienceless put 2 and 2 together.

I perceived it as a "glitch" or stylized animation which made it look more like a Comic Book. Watching this video, then going back to the movie, made me realize what was really going on.

So I was watching this on Netflix the other night, and it looked like there were old-school 3D shadows in blue and red(?) Is this a weird styling choice, or if I find some red/blue glasses, will I see a 3D image?

Styling choice. It is supposed to look like a printed comic where the color layers slightly misaligned so you get a fringe of color in some places.

Yeah, I found it more distracting than anything else.
I'll have to go through some of my old comics to see if I notice any of that...
