Very much enjoyed the Daisy Ridley sex sounds before the video came up. Also "The Saga Comes to an End"? Yeah right.

Any way, yes I'm very excited.

Agree, this will end only when people stop showing up in the theaters, or stop buying the merch.
But if this ends Lucas' overall story in a good way, I'm happy.
And I'll obviously see it, first day, or hopefully even earlier, since my daughter is at Disney ...

I recall reading an article in the 1980's that said Lucas'' original story line ran 9 episodes. So if that ends at this one, fine. But the mouse has already made two prequel/sidebar films so no reason it can't continue.

OK, WTF is Palps saying right before dark Rey at the end, after the asthmatic light-bright noise?? Deers ascent?

I can’t believe I am going to say this, but Star Wars is dead to me. I was the biggest SW fan and even managed to accept the prequels but somewhere between SW Ep 8 and Solo I just came away thinking Disney fucking killed it.

I will likely wee it but I won’t go way out of the way to do it and it would take a lot to win my back.

I am not saying I liked the prequels, I am saying I accepted them. :)

I did not hate ep 7, I actually liked Rogue 1 but Ep 8 just killed it for me and I wasn’t too hard on Solo but I have been knock from the perch of Fanatic. Will say that up until I got married I had read most every single SW book, which of course is now not canon.

I just feel like now it is time for them to win me back or lose me.

My level of excitement has reached "Transformers" level, meaning that I will go see Episode 9, but I'm not amped up about the film. I'm more excited about the trailer for "The Mandalorian" coming to Disney Plus.

Episode 8 is the first Star Wars film that I cannot watch in its entirety. The first hill for me to climb is at the beginning at the film where we see General Hux now as clown. If I get over that hill, it's Marry Poppins. If I can get beyond that, it's "The Toss over the Shoulder". But the ONE Hill I've yet to conquer is the Canto Bight sequence.

I will see it in theaters. I'm not saying a person can't watch a movie and just determine if they like it or don't but it is impossible to totally take these films in a vacuum. The level of incel misogynistic rage that assumes every creative decision was a political one is impossible to escape and the level of expectations is impossible to live up to. I think all of the new batch of films have been entertaining. The only one I didn't really like was Solo and that's only because the lead actor was atrocious. I actually really liked Rogue One.

Another trailer dropped during MNF. Liking the comments.

Still don't know what the movie is about (not a bad thing, revealing trailers ruin it.
Still don't know what the trilogy is about...
Sure we do, it’s about promoting young, marketable actors to the next generation using old actors as crutches to attract the parents.

How many sharks does a series have to jump before it dies? In the same category i read that they are once again remaking Dune. Ugh.
