The Raven Refused to Sing - Steven Wilson.....
Maureen and I strolled through the Village a few weeks ago and stopped to listen to this guy on Bleeker Street. You don't see street musicians with cellos very often. He played a mix of classical and jazz and he's very good. His name is Peter Lewy and after we chatted with him for a bit, he played and sung an original song for us. He got to both of us enough to plunk down $20 for a CD. Give him a listen and remember, there's always room for cello!
Concert For Bangladesh(2cd set)
I'm working my way through this (I haven't had a lot of listening time lately):
I've never listened to The White Album before, so I'm psyched about listening to this :):
The Who-Live At Leeds Complete
Bin on a Dire Straits kick. The remastered CDs sound great.
Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats
I've been listening to my desert island favorite on my Pono in hi-rez files. Connected it to the car stereo, too. It sounds great.
While listening last evening at high volume it came to me that this is the most frightening album in my collection.
The only album of their's I listen to...
Back to my roots with another NC boy.
Slim has kicked cancer and is back kicking a**.
Joni Mitchell-Miles of Aisles.......Van Morrison-It's Too Late To Stop Now
Holy Moly, I continue to be astounded by late 60's albums that hardly saw the light of day. This one is a discovery of Sir George Martin, no less. Great production to boot.
Ted Nugent-Double Live Gonzo(Rock Candy single disc)...Vanilla Fudge-S/T and The Beat Goes On( 2 cd set)
