Yes, I am trying to revive the daily listening list from HTT but no, I do not want to steal the "What was spinning" thread title from there.

-edit- with Dre's permission, the thread title is changed.

So what was your daily dose of music? Mine was:

Re: Your Daily Dose (May 2007)

    David,
I started those threads on HTT a good while ago. Using the title hear is quite alright with me. In some ways, it will remind us of the beginnings.

So, go for it if you wish.

Ummmm, does the Spiderman 3 soundtrack count?.... since that's what we saw tonight. Thank god I didn't pay for it! Well, not with my money. What a waste.

Thank you Dre, I think we should honor HTT and bring that thread title over here, with your permission.

Here you go a couple of bare chested guys for you Steve.. Oh wait never mind that didn't come out quite right. :)

And I have been listening to Red Hot Chilli Peppers Stadium Arcadium and Bush The Science Of Things.

Still not sure if Bush was poking fun at religion or was deeply into it. :)

I have been listening to Steel Train most recently -- they kind of have a Greatful Dead vibe, except they are in tune and can actually play their instruments.

This one has been in heavy rotation:

It's a new recording of the music score from the film The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (a great picture). Music by the incomparable Miklos Rozsa (Ben-Hur, Double Indemnity, Thief of Bagdad, et al)

Is that the new CD? I had purchase paralysis at Target last week when I saw :

    1) The standard CD
    2) The Target Edition CD with a bonus DVD
    3) The Special Edition CD with a booklet and an extra song, but no DVD

Shoot, I might as well just download it from iTunes.

Oh, and I'm listening to this. Big surprise:

[/quote]No it's not his new one, a friend gave it to me at lunch today. I'm not sure when it came out.

Steve, I tried to get into MCR but just couldn't. I really detest the singer's voice and simply cannot identify with the lyrics. Decent music, though. I call them "Queen Day."

Right now Pandora is streaming here in my office. Shawn Phillips just segued to XTC.
